For this spring's Text to Sermon lecture series, we will be joined by several Birmingham community pastors as they go from Scripture text to the delivered sermon.

This week Beeson alumnus Rev. Andrew Russell will speak about his Christmas Day sermon on John 1:1-14 entitled, "Come and See His Glory." He will walk through his process of moving from the selected text to the delivered sermon.

Andrew Russell is the assistant pastor for families and youth at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Mountain Brook, AL. Andrew is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended Belmont University in Nashville before earning his M.Div. at Beeson Divinity School in 2019. He served as an intern at St. Peter’s during seminary and, after graduation, as a curate for an Anglican church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In addition to his role at St. Peter’s, he is also the voice of The Daily Office Podcast.

Andrew is married to his high school sweetheart, Rev. Anna Russell, who also serves as a deacon at St. Peter’s.
