2022 23 Divinity Go Global

Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School is pleased to welcome Bryant Wright as the speaker for the school’s annual Go Global Missions Emphasis Week, Oct. 4-5. Wright is president of Send Relief, a compassion-based ministry that seeks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people around the world.

Wright will preach during Beeson Divinity School’s community worship service on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. in Hodges Chapel and will give a lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 12:30 p.m. in Divinity Hall N-101.

In addition to his role at Send Relief, Wright is the founder and chairman of Right From The Heart Ministries, a media ministry that he began in 1992. Prior to 2019, Wright was the founding senior pastor of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, where he served for 38 years. During that time, he also served as the president of the Southern Baptist Convention, 2010-2012. Additionally, Wright has authored seven books, including Right from the Heart: Turning Your Day Toward God and Succession: Preparing Your Ministry for the Next Leader.

During Go Global, missions agencies from around the world will be present to connect with Samford and Beeson students at the Missions Agency Fair on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 5-6, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., in Samford’s Ben Brown Plaza. View the full schedule below.
