David Parks directs Beeson Divinity School’s Global Center. He teaches Introduction to Christian Missions, oversees the Cross-Cultural Ministry Practicum, and coordinates the Global Center’s various programs. He advocates for the needs of the world and seeks to equip students to serve wherever Christ would have them go. He served in Southeast Asia for six years with the International Mission Board and Youth Ministry International training leaders of student ministries in local churches and starting local student outreaches.

David is married to Jenn Parks, a graduate of Wheaton College and native of West Virginia. They have three daughters and one son. Corrie, their oldest girl, was born in Louisville while David was in school at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Anna, Auston, and Julie were born in Malaysia. David played tennis competitively in college and enjoys teaching his children and other kids today. He loves music, ultimate frisbee, and mostly just hanging out with his family.
