What kind of accommodations are on-campus?

On campus (dormitory style) housing is available for Pastors School attendees and their families. Most rooms accommodate two people (two twin beds). Each room has its own bath. Housing is limited and early registration is advised.

Check-in for housing is Monday, July 23, after 9:00am. Sorry, no Sunday evening lodging is available on campus.

Linens: If you choose to stay in campus housing, you must provide your own bed linens, pillows, towels, and personal care items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.). All beds are extra long twin size.

Where is Samford University and where do I go when I arrive?

The campus is located in Birmingham, AL, off I-65 on Lakeshore Drive. Take Exit 255 off of I-65; travel east on Lakeshore Drive approximately 1.5 miles. At the traffic light in front of the main entrance of Samford University, turn left. At the first intersection, turn left into Montague Drive. Beeson Divinity School is the second building on the right, with the darkened copper dome across from the football field.

Check-In will take place in the Beeson Divinity School Commons from 9:00am to 9:00pm on Monday, July 23. Follow the signs! (Beeson Divinity School is located in Divinity Hall building and the Commons are located to the left of Andrew Gerow Hodges Chapel.)

What time should I arrive?

The opening session will be a barbecue held in the first floor "food court" area of Ralph W. Beeson University Center starting at 5:30pm on Monday. All family members are invited, dress is casual. The opening worship service will be held at 7:30pm in Beeson Divinity School's Hodges Chapel immediately following the barbecue. You may arrive and check-in anytime from 9:00am to 9:00pm on Monday, July 23.

If you are attending the pre-conference, please check-in prior to 10:00am.

What is available for my child(ren)?

Your children will experience fun and exciting activities including age-appropriate bible study, crafts, games and field trips throughout the week. Childcare is available for children ages 2-11. Special areas have been set aside to care for children during major events of the week. Children must be accompanied by their parents at regular meal times.

What is available for my teen?

Youth will be motivated, challenged and inspired through special workshops, youth worship services, recreational activities and an opportunity for community outreach. Youth may also choose to attend the general workshops, Bible studies, and worship services. No dependent child under the age of 21 is allowed to register and/or attend pastors school unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

[If your child is a young adult (over 21 years of age) and is also attending Pastors School, they must register as a pastor- not as a youth.]

Is there a special women's track?

Absolutely! Please check back for more details, including special workshops, as we draw closer to the event.

What if I want to purchase meals but stay off campus?

You are more than welcome to purchase a meal card that will grant you access to the cafeteria for meals during the week (Tuesday breakfast through Friday lunch). The cost for a meal card is $85 and may be requested in advance or at check-in. You may also purchase meals from the cafeteria or food court on an individual basis. Additionally, there are numerous local restaurants within 5 miles of the university- just ask, we are happy to recommend places to eat.

What should I wear?

Recommended attire for the week is business casual (such as short sleeved shirts and casual slacks). Take into consideration that our weather in July is normally high temps with high humidity, so pack accordingly!

Do you offer airport pick-up service?

Transportation is available from the Birmingham International Airport, which is 10  miles (15 minutes) from the campus. If you need to be picked up and brought to campus, please call our offices in advance to arrange for this service.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

Cancellation requests received on or before July 2, 2012 will be given a refund less a $25 service fee. No refunds will be considered for cancellations received after this date.
