How to Post a Position on Hiresamford.com

  1. Register to use system (if you've not already done so).
  2. Log on to www.hiresamford.com.
  3. Click on “For Employers.”
  4. Log in, providing your username and password.
  5. Under the “Shortcuts” heading, click on “Create a Basic Job Posting (Free).”
  6. Supply the requested information on your Ministry Position.  Be sure to provide information for all of the required fields, marked with a red asterisk.
    • Job Function – Choose “Religious” on the drop-down menu.
    • Resume Receipt – Check the box to indicate how you would like to receive resumes of potential candidates; we suggest you choose “E-mail” or “Other.”  If you choose “Other,” you will be prompted in the next box (“How to Apply”) to provide instructions for sending a resume.
    • Posting Date – Click on “Select” to access calendar; choose date when you wish for the position listing to first appear to interested candidates.
    • Expiration Date – Click on “Select” to access calendar; choose date when you wish for position listing to be removed from the job announcements.
    • GPA – If you do not have a minimum GPA requirement, enter 0.00. Graduation Date (Range Start) – Select the earliest graduation date you will consider.
    • Graduation Date (Range End) – Select the latest graduation date you will consider.
    • Work Authorization – Indicate required (or desired) citizenship status.
    • Class Level – If posting for a part-time position, you will likely indicate your preference as “Graduate Student.”  If posting for a full-time position, you will likely indicate your preference as “Recent Alumni” or “Alumni.”  To choose more than one option, click on your first selection, then hold down the CTRL key while clicking on additional selections.
    • Desired Major(s) – Click on “Select” to access drop-down menu; choose one of the “Divinity” options and/or “Master of Divinity” and/or “Doctor of Ministry.”
    • Attachments – You may use this feature to upload documents that supplement your position listing, e.g. job description, information on the church or ministry organization, etc.

    6.    Click on “Done.”
