Degree Programs

 

Master of Divinity

The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is the flagship degree of Beeson Divinity School. It combines academic and practical training to prepare pastors for full-time ministry. This degree offers a balanced curriculum of Biblical studies, historical and theological studies, spiritual formation, and ministry leadership development.




 


 

Master of Arts in Theological Studies 

The Master of Arts in Theological Studies (M.A.T.S.) is a general academic degree. It is designed for laypeople who want to broaden and deepen their understanding of the Christian faith. Admission to this degree is selective and limited to 10% of the total student body.


 


 

Doctor of Ministry

The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) is the highest earned degree for the practice of Christian ministry. The design of the degree is to enhance understanding and to improve skills of the minister whether in the local congregation or some related field. The program is open to students who already earned their first professional degree (M.Div. or its equivalent)  and who have a minimum of three years' experience in a pastorate or other professional ministry.

Certificate of Anglican Studies

This certificate is available to students in the M.Div. program. Students fulfilling the requirements will be awarded the certificate upon with the successful completion of the degree program.

 

 


 

Missions Certificate

Available to students in the M.Div. program, this certificate combines classroom and field courses to provide a rich training ground for students pursuing a call to cross-cultural mission.
