, serves as director of Student Services, and coordinates the faculty/student mentoring program. He also teaches pastoral formation at the master’s level. Searby is the author of The Resilient Pastor: Ten Principles for Developing Pastoral Resilience
. Before coming to Beeson, he taught for ten years and served as an administrator for four years at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary in Lincoln, Illinois. He was a pastor of churches in Illinois for 24 years and recently completed an 18-month interim at Deerfoot Baptist Church in Trussville, Ala. Searby serves on the Executive Board of the Association for Doctor of Ministry Education (ADME), and is currently working on a forthcoming publication, Authentic Mentoring: Developing Disciple-Leaders for the Next Generation
. He and his wife, Dr. Linda Searby, have two sons, two grandsons, and two granddaughters.
