Mark Searby joined Beeson Divinity School in 2007. He directs the Doctor of Ministry Studies Program, serves as director of Student Services, and coordinates the faculty/student mentoring program. He also teaches pastoral formation at the master’s level. Searby is the author of The Resilient Pastor: Ten Principles for Developing Pastoral Resilience. Before coming to Beeson, he taught for ten years and served as an administrator for four years  at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary in Lincoln, Illinois. He was a pastor of churches in Illinois for 24 years and recently completed an 18-month interim at Deerfoot Baptist Church in Trussville, Ala. Searby serves on the Executive Board of the Association for Doctor of Ministry Education (ADME), and is currently working on a forthcoming publication, Authentic Mentoring: Developing Disciple-Leaders for the Next Generation. He and his wife, Dr. Linda Searby, have two sons, two grandsons, and two granddaughters.
