Intercessory Prayer Room
“For God so loved the world...”
There’s no doubt how much God cares for His world. People in great need. People sharing His word to the ends of the earth. People living out their daily lives. At Beeson praying is central to us as individuals and as a community. We truly believe that whatsoever things we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive. One way we live that out is through the ministry of our prayer room. We invite students to experience the power and purpose of this special place hidden away in the heart of our Global Center. Prayer is a fundamental part of the believer’s life. It is our desire to honor God and serve others by facilitating a place of prayer and giving people a way to make their requests known. Within this life of prayer, comes intercession— petitionary prayer offered on behalf of others. While paying special attention to the needs of our community, we strongly emphasize prayer for our missionaries around the world.
About the Prayer Room
The Prayer Room at Beeson Divinity School is dedicated to engaging in the ministry of prayer for others. We invite the Beeson Community to join in this pastoral ministry of soul care. Each volunteer commits to a half-hour, hour, or longer session once a week in the Prayer Room. Our Prayer Room is located on the lower level of the Global Center within Beeson Divinity Hall.
All prayer requests are kept confidential and will only be seen by the volunteers who have committed to pray each week in the Intercessory Prayer Room. All volunteers will be provided with an orientation before participating in the prayer room ministry. You can submit a request for prayer in one of the following ways:
- Place a request card in the boxes located on campus. There are boxes in the Student Commons at BDS, Reid Chapel, and in the Post Office.
- E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
For more information or to volunteer in the prayer room, please send an email to email@example.com.
